Favorite Part began with a question we ask every evening.

My kids both go to daycare, and for as long as they’ve been able to talk, we’ve asked them every evening what their favorite part of the day was. It became a habit and my kids looked forward to it, but at some point I realized that while they were giving us fascinating answers and opening up in really powerful ways, we weren’t doing anything to capture what they were saying or see how it was evolving over time.

Favorite Part was the first platform I created to solve a personal problem — its goal was to make recording these moments frictionless and fun while helping to highlight interesting trends.

I love this app — it’s intentionally lightweight and simple — and it’s helped to reinforce this quick ritual while allowing me to capture moments that would otherwise only live in memory.
