Lightkeep began with an iPad we weren’t using.

Managing a household calendar with two young kids in school / daycare is hard! I was getting inundated with ads from companies that were trying to solve this problem with purpose-built panels and software subscriptions, but I wanted to find a way that wouldn’t lock me into a multi-year commitment and could work with old technology (an iPad) we were no longer using.

That led me to create Lightkeep — a full-featured family calendar platform that makes managing household activities easy and fun, and ties into your existing hardware and software.

The basic version is completely free and I hope it’s as helpful for other families as it’s been for mine!
